Position Overview:
T12 Technologies is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile processes for one or more Scrum teams, ensuring timely delivery of releases within scope. This role is responsible for coaching, guiding, and mentoring teams in Agile best practices, promoting continuous improvement in product quality and efficiency. The Senior Scrum Master fosters a collaborative environment, removes impediments, and ensures Agile principles are followed to maximize team performance and value delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Leadership & Facilitation: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure Agile ceremonies are conducted effectively. Guide and coach Scrum teams to embrace Agile/Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Ensure teams adhere to Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.), delivering high-quality products within scope and timeline. Plan and assist with the implementation of Scrum frameworks and Agile principles. Support cross-functional collaboration between development, QA, product, and business stakeholders. Help the team avoid or navigate roadblocks, impediments, and external interferences.
Team Development & Continuous Improvement: Mentor and support Scrum teams, fostering a culture of self-organization and accountability. Identify and address team dynamics, helping teams grow into high-performing units. Promote Agile best practices, including test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and DevOps principles. Conduct Agile training and workshops as needed to upskill teams and stakeholders.
Process Optimization & Performance Tracking: Continuously assess and refine Agile processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Track and report on sprint progress, team velocity, and project deliverables using Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally). Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve issues that hinder team performance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Risk Management: Work closely with Product Owners to refine and prioritize the product backlog. Communicate project progress, risks, and blockers to leadership and stakeholders. Manage dependencies across teams and facilitate alignment with business objectives. Identify critical paths, key tasks, testing activities, and acceptance criteria. Support alignment of Agile teams with business goals and deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
Experience:
· Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in Agile environments.
Proven experience leading Agile/Scrum teams in software development or IT projects.
Certifications (Preferred):
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification.
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or equivalent SAFe Agile certifications are a plus.
Technical & Soft Skills:
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, principles, and frameworks.
Experience using Agile project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or VersionOne, etc.).
Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with scaled Agile frameworks and enterprise-level Agile transformation.
Background in software development, DevOps, or cloud technologies.
Experience supporting State-level programs.
