Technical Support Specialist

Provide technical support and serve as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students within the School of Medicine seeking technical assistance. Respond promptly to inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems related to hardware, software, network connectivity, AV equipment, and other IT-related matters. Install, configure, and maintain workstations, AV systems, classroom equipment, and other peripherals. Conduct regular maintenance, including system updates and AV checks, to ensure optimal performance and security. Provide technical support for ExamSoft, including setup, deployment, and troubleshooting during exams. Coordinate with faculty and students to ensure ExamSoft operates smoothly. Oversee and maintain computer labs used by the School of Medicine. Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly, software is up to date, and the environment is optimized for student and faculty use. Monitor lab schedules and support testing events when needed. Develop and deliver training resources to educate users within the School of Medicine on AV system usage and IT best practices. Assist users with software applications and guide on resolving common issues. Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to address complex issues. Effectively communicate with users to provide updates, gather details, and ensure high satisfaction levels.
