Job Summary

The Business Analyst, PMO Resource & Capacity is a data-driven and collaborative professional responsible for managing enterprise-level IT resource/workforce and capacity planning. This role drives the collection, analysis, and presentation of data related to demand/work intake, resource availability, and IT work prioritization. As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, this role ensures accurate reporting, guides stakeholders in effective tool usage, and delivers insights that support organizational decision-making. This position works cross-functionally with project teams, IT leadership, and executives to align resource utilization with organizational priorities and delivery feasibility.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Facilitate resource and capacity planning activities across the holistic IT portfolio of work, enabling informed prioritization of initiatives based on organizational bandwidth and business impact. Manage the structured intake and grooming process, ensuring that resource implications and capacity data are accurately captured and assessed. Forecast resource needs for active and proposed projects, and model future capacity scenarios based on demand projections and organizational constraints. Analyze resource allocation, demand trends, and utilization metrics to identify gaps, risks, and optimization opportunities. Develop standardized tools, templates, and reporting dashboards within the PPM system to support data-driven planning and transparent decision-making. Serve as the SME for the PPM tool, providing guidance, troubleshooting, training, and ongoing refinement to optimize its adoption and utility across stakeholder groups. Collaborate with stakeholders to define resource-related requirements, ensure data accuracy, and align project timelines with availability. Present complex capacity data and portfolio impacts to executive leadership, communicating clearly to enable prioritization, trade-off decisions, and long-range planning. Facilitate executive and cross-functional stakeholder meetings, leading conversations around resource planning, constraints, and opportunities. Prepare and deliver both scheduled and ad hoc analyses, reports, and executive summaries to support operational planning and emerging business needs. Benchmark against industry best practices to continuously enhance CDIs demand and capacity management processes. Champion the use of the PPM tool for accurate, timely, and actionable insights, working closely with PMs, BAs, and leadership to ensure effective integration into workflows. Navigate ambiguity and shifting priorities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset that fosters alignment and momentum across teams. Promote a collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives and fosters professional growth. Perform other duties as assigned.

REGULATORY

Ability to obtain racing and/or gaming licenses as required in any jurisdiction where CDI operates. The gaming industry is highly regulated and as such demands an extensive background check to obtain a license.

Education And Experience

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent experience Three to five years related work experience Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development Highly self-motivated and directed Exceptional presentation, collaboration and communication skills Superb recordkeeping, documentation, time management and organizational skills Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to conduct research into project and portfolio management issues as required Strong understanding of project and portfolio capacity management techniques Familiarity with the functioning of a PMO

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Regular use of a keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software. Viewing a computer screen for prolonged periods. Ability to manipulate paperwork, including filing, sorting, and organizing. Moving within the office environment to attend meetings, use office equipment, or interact with colleagues. Occasional lifting of office supplies or paperwork (up to 20 pounds). Speaking and listening to colleagues and clients in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing. Working in a climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels. Performing repetitive tasks such as data entry or document preparation. Working under artificial lighting conditions typical of an office environment, which may include fluorescent or LED lighting. Role is onsite five days a week at the Louisville, KY CDI headquarters office.
