Position Title: Master Planner - Lead Department: Manufacturing Operations Location: Fenton, MO Reports To: Planning Manager Classification: Exempt Position Summary:

The Master Planner Lead plays a key role within the planning team, working collaboratively to develop, maintain, and continuously improve production schedules that support operational goals and customer commitments. This role actively manages their own production schedule, contributing directly to the team's overall success in ensuring efficient resource utilization and on-time delivery. Essential Job Duties: Support and guide team members by sharing best practices, assisting with problem-solving, and fostering a collaborative planning environment Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on inventory levels, and capacity constraints using advanced Excel skills Lead production planning meetings and communicate changes to stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline planning processes Maintain and enhance ERP/MRP systems to support accurate and efficient planning Analyze resource constraints and recommend solutions Track and monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) Monitor inventory levels and communicate with purchasing, inventory, production, and other planners to avoid inventory disruptions to production or customers Communicate delays and general updates pertaining to customer orders to customer service and sales departments Proactively advise management and production of work in progress status and any bottlenecks or barriers to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are provided as needed Coordinates expedite activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and product engineering Required Education: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate four-year college program or equivalent work experience Required Experience: 5+ years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment 2+ years of experience in a lead or equivalent role Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel Strong understanding of production workflows and capacity planning Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing individual responsibilities effectively Effective communication and leadership abilities Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong understanding of production scheduling, inventory control, and capacity planning Desired Experience: Advanced Excel skills Continuous improvement mindset About Control Devices, LLC Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer & manufacturer of high-quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components & accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, & the industrial, agricultural & food service float valve markets.
