FPC of Wake Forest has been engaged to locate a Logistics Manager for a great client! The company has enjoyed a consistent growth trend, has a strong reputation for engineering and fabricating superior products, and a personalized customer service approach.

So, what will you be doing as Logistics Manager?
-Develop and execute the transportation plan (primarily outbound) for multiple plants
-Serve as the primary point of contact for escalation for issues regarding carrier pickup, delivery, or service.
-Develop and establish logistics related metrics and present to Upper-Level Management
-Monitor in-house transportation cost and determine cost/benefit of in-house versus using a 3rd party for key lanes/routes.
-Maintain compliance with DOT safety regulations; assist plant-based teams with DOT related permits
What you will need to be successful:
-BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or another related field
-5+ years of transportation experience with multiple modes (trucking, barge, ocean, rail, etc.)
-Experience with ERP and TMS
-Working knowledge of transportation contract, rate structures, and insurance requirements
-Working knowledge of Federal and State transportation regulations, national rail system, and inland waterways
-Advanced database/analytical skills

-MBA
-D365 Transportation Module/Ratelinx TMS
-CTP or CTLD certification
-Python; Power BI
