The SQL Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of SQL Server databases across development, test, and production environments. This role ensures high availability, optimal performance, and compliance with enterprise standards while supporting application teams and business stakeholders. Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases (on-prem and cloud-based) Implement and manage backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategies Configure and maintain AlwaysOn Availability Groups for high availability and disaster recovery Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and index management Manage database security, including role-based access control and auditing Apply patches, upgrades, and support version migrations (e.g., SQL Server 2008 to 2019+) Automate routine tasks using T-SQL, PowerShell, or other scripting tools Collaborate with application developers and infrastructure teams to support deployments and troubleshoot issues Document database environments, configurations, and procedures Participate in on-call rotation and provide 24/7 support as needed Youll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear directions on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher) 2+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments 2+ years of experience with T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and SQL Server Agent 2+ years of hands-on experience with AlwaysOn Availability Groups, replication, mirroring and clustering 2+ years of experience with Azure SQL (IaaS and PaaS), Azure Migrate and Data Migration Assistant Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Strong understanding of database security, encryption (e.g., TDE), and compliance standards Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database deployments Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or MCSA: SQL Server Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
