POSITION OVERVIEW SECTION
This position requires an extensive knowledge of federal and USAF occupational, environmental, safety and health regulations; extensive knowledge of federal and USAF radiological (ionizing and nonionizing) regulations; and an extensive knowledge of the data management systems that support the above regulations.
Essential Job Functions
OEH Data Analysis & Program Evaluation
Evaluate large OEH datasets to improve practices and reduce uncertainty in exposure assessments. Assess the effectiveness of OEH program implementation across USAF and DoD.
DOEHRS & Reporting
Perform data entry/extraction from DOEHRS. Define and mockup report requirements. Review impacts of DOEHRS system changes.
Health Risk Assessments
Conduct environmental, safety, and occupational health risk assessments using DOEHRS data. Include hazard identification, exposure and toxicological assessments, and risk characterization.
Strategic OEH Planning & Knowledge Management
Write, review, and critique objectives at strategic, operational, and tactical levels. Create proposals, briefings, and battle rhythm presentations.
Training & Implementation Support
Design and deliver technical training for OEH programs and analytical tools. Educate government personnel on implementation methods.
Consultation & Special Studies
Provide guidance on force health protection issues, regulations, and policies. Conduct data analyses and author studies to support USAF/DoD units.
Multi-System Data Integration
Extract data from DOEHRS, BCS, PMAS, PMR, and ASIMS. Measure OEH program performance and develop improvement strategies.
Product Development & Recommendations
Recommend enhancements to USAF/DoD data-centric systems.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements
Education & Experience
Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational/Environmental Health, or a related field. OR equivalent experience (exceptions considered). 5+ years' experience in:
OEH and Health Risk Assessments. DOEHRS and Business Objects (BCS).
Technical Proficiency
Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio). Minimum 2 years' experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Security
Must have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) on file.
Highly Desired Qualifications
Regulatory Familiarity
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DoD, and USAF OEH requirements. Experience in policy review, risk data analysis, program evaluation, and training assessment.
System Expertise
Familiar with DOEHRS IH-RAM, PMAS, PMR, and ASIMS. Strong capability in conducting full-scope OEH program reviews.
