Role Responsibilities
Gather inputs to run material requirements planning (MRP). Generate and manage purchase requests (PRs) to ensure materials demands are systematically communicated to the Procurement team. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to minimize stockouts and overages. Investigate transactional misses and process breakdowns, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time completion, consumption rates, and waste rates. Use data to inform decision-making and adjust material plans as needed. Identify and implement process improvements to reduce increase efficiency & reduce costs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or other highly analytical field 7+ years of experience in material planning for industrial applications (aerospace, automotive, heavy equipment, etc.) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel formulas (IF, VLOOKUP, SEARCH, INDEX, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Siemens, etc.) Experience working with MES systems (ION, Manufacturo, SAP, Factorylogix, etc.) Experience working with PLM systems (Aras, Windchill, Teamcenter, etc.) Formal training/certification in Material Planning (via ASCM, APICS, etc.) To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable. Compensation
The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $90,222 - $119,545. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
