We are seeking an Optical Assembler to apply high-quality lacquer finishes to small metal parts, ensuring both durability and visual appeal. This role requires attention to detail, steady hands, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Experience with lacquer or paint application, using spray or brush techniques, is preferred. Safe operation of a speed lathe is required.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare surfaces and lacquer for application. Apply lacquer using spray, brush, or other approved methods. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. Verify lacquer viscosity meets required specifications. Maintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organized. Follow safety regulations and document processes as needed. Collaborate with team members when required. Required Skills:
Experience preparing and applying lacquer. Strong inspection skills with a focus on precision and quality. Ability to maintain equipment and follow safety procedures. High School Diploma or GED required. Work Environment:
Requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and reaching with hands and arms. Frequent use of hands and fingers for fine assembly work; good hand-eye coordination required. Involves close, distance, and magnified vision for inspection tasks. Exposure to oils, solvents, and airborne particles (lab coats and safety glasses provided). Manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels and moving mechanical parts. May rotate between workstations based on production needs. $20.00 per hour
