Role Overview
As an NDT Inspector, you'll perform and document nondestructive tests using
Visual, Liquid Penetrant, and Magnetic Particle methods
. You'll evaluate welds to ensure compliance with
U.S. Navy Specifications and Standards
, and play a key role in maintaining quality and safety aboard Navy vessels.
Required Qualifications
ASNT-TC-1A or equivalent NDT Level II certification
High School Diploma or equivalent
U.S. Passport OR Enhanced WA State ID + U.S. Birth Certificate
No convictions
Able to commute to PSNS (no per diem or travel compensation)
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain NDT process instructions and documentation.
Oversee procedure qualifications and welder performance certifications.
Audit and certify welding and brazing processes.
Write Inspection/Deficiency Reports and investigate discrepancies.
Coordinate with production teams and witness inspection checkpoints.
Ensure compliance with all Health/Safety and Environmental policies.
Preferred Experience
Shipyard experience strongly preferred
Aluminum inspection experience highly valued
UT experience is a plus
Essential Skills
Strong understanding of Navy standards and welding specifications
Excellent written and verbal communication
Proficient in Word, Excel, and database tools
Physically able to work in confined shipboard spaces

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
