Your Challenge: As a Director of Business Development, you will support multiple business units within Defense Solutions. You will evaluate and manage new strategic business opportunities, initiatives, partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures. Your responsibilities include market analysis, monitoring competitive activity, and identifying customer needs. You will plan, design, conduct due diligence, and implement strategic business objectives to expand our presence in the US Air Force aviation enterprise. Your Expertise: US person required Active SECRET security clearance is mandatory; TS preferred Prior US Air Force aviation and/or acquisition experience highly desired, with extensive USAF relationships Prior business development experience beneficial Ability to travel 30%-40% of the year Ability to set up demonstrations, present, and occasionally lift 50-70 lbs Knowledge of DoD programs related to Air Force airborne applications (e.g., Air Dominance, legacy platform modernization), from initial concept through development and production Access to senior program leads, officers, and influencers on Air Force aviation programs Network of contacts throughout the Air Force Aviation community and prime contractors Comfort discussing airborne applications with operators, senior program team members, officers, and executives Strong experience in the Air Force Aviation enterprise, including customer relationships with requirements and acquisition officers Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills Experience in developing capture plans and leading pursuit efforts of multimillion dollar projects Researching, planning, and implementing new target market initiatives Pursuing leads through the business development lifecycle, working across disciplines Developing concepts, quotes, and proposals for clients Representing CWDS at conferences and industry events to identify new opportunities Who We Are Our Values Environmental, Social and Governance Company Profile: Curtiss-Wright's Defense Solution (CWDS) division is a trusted leader, delivering products and services for defense and aerospace industries, focusing on growth segments with high demand for advanced technology, safety, security, and performance.
