As our Facility Supervisor, you’ll help ensure our community center remains a reliable home for life-changing services Your Mission: The Facility Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity, safety, and functionality of CASL’s campus facilities. This role ensures smooth operations by overseeing all Fleet Maintenance and Building mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and structural systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition at all times. Through proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, the Facility Supervisor contributes to a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff, program participants, and visitors. In this role, you will manage vendor relationships, oversee budgets, and implement maintenance plans that support the long-term sustainability of CASL’s infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety protocols and regulations. What You’ll Impact As a Facility Supervisor, you will turn mission into action, keeping our facilities safe, efficient, and ready to serve. Your day-to-day efforts ensure our spaces remain reliable and welcoming for staff, program participants, and the broader community. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Safety and MEP systems, ensuring smooth day-to-day operation and addressing any issues promptly. Manage relationships with Safety and MEP vendors, including contract review, scope definition, and ensuring performance meets contractual obligations by conducting a periodical vendor meeting to review project updates and performance metrics. Develop and maintain comprehensive Safety and maintenance plans for all MEP equipment, ensuring timely calibration, repair, and servicing on a quarterly basis at a minimum and document records/reports in the ticketing system. Perform Facility Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential issues to prevent disruptions in operations, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeters in all weather conditions Investigate and take the appropriate lawful action as authorized by the corporate policy on accidents, incidents, trespassing, suspicious activities, safety and fire incidents. Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control. Administer Employee Access and Credentials – Issue and track physical Master keys for employees and contractors, updating permissions as necessary and ensuring proper documentation of all access grants. Program and monitor the Building Management System (BMS) for both on-site and remote access with 99% up-time, optimizing system performance. Work closely with the Events Team to implement HVAC programs tailored to special events within 24 hours minimum notice/coordination. Actively participate in cross-functional collaboration to solve complex maintenance issues, providing expertise to internal stakeholders by participating in multiple team meetings. Maintenance and Repairs
Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM) on all facility systems meeting the PM schedule in-place, ensuring repairs are completed promptly to maintainoptimal functionality to meet the 99% up-time. Respond to Work Orders: Address maintenance work orders promptly, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently to minimize downtime. Extensive knowledge of drywall, painting, and carpentry, with the ability to independently complete full tasks. Capable of independently managing projects with minimal supervision. Fleet Management:
Fleet Maintenance Oversight - Ensure the timely maintenance, servicing, and repair of company vehicles, coordinating with mechanics and vendors to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Compliance & Safety - Monitor and enforce adherence to safety regulations, vehicle inspection protocols, registration and compliance with industry and company standards to ensure a safe and legal fleet operation. Support Fleet Operations - Provide backup support for fleet drivers and assist the fleet team during peak times or as needed to ensure smooth operations. Budget and Compliance Oversight
Oversee the annual maintenance and operations budget, ensuring expenses are tracked and invoices reviewed for budgetary adherence with +-5% variance. Maintain Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities through work order systems to ensure compliance and track the status of repairs. Inventory & Cost Control: Facility procurement, Manage spare parts inventory, track maintenance costs, and optimize resource allocation to maintain budgetary control and reduce unnecessary expenses. What You Bring - To thrive in this role, you should have: Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Enrolled in or completed technical training in facilities management, HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems. A minimum of 5 years of experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or lighting control systems, or 10 years of experience without formal technical training, Skills and Knowledge:
In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting control systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in real-time. Familiarity with local, regional, and national MEP regulations, permits, licenses, and compliance standards. Strong ability to lead and organize large amounts of data, ensuring accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment information, and budget tracking through work order systems Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, internal stakeholders, and non-technical team members. Collaborative problem solver with a proactive approach to address complex, multi-functional maintenance issues. Skilled in the use of ladders, tools, and handheld power tools for routine maintenance tasks. Good in using Microsoft 365 applications Willingness and ability to learn Salesforce & Slack or similar data management systems. Bonus Points For:
Certification in facilities management, HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems. Basic understanding and experience with Salesforce & Slack or similar data management systems. Proven ability to manage relationships with vendors, oversee contracts, and ensure vendor performance aligns with organizational standards. Deep understanding of safety protocols (OSHA) and the ability to implement them across all maintenance tasks and projects. Physical Demands:
Ability to exert 75-100 pounds of force occasionally. Significant walking & standing required. Ability to reach overhead & below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, & stooping. Environment and Scheduling:
