The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Packaging Engineer primarily supporting SCCM/MECM and Intune to join our team on a contract supporting the Department of Homeland Security. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team of windows cloud engineers and security specialists with expert experience in Windows, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Intune Autopilot, Enterprise Patching, PKI/Certificates, Active Directory, Virtualization, Cloud, and scripting experience. In this role, you will work across endpoint management and server operations teams to ensure adherence to customer SLAs while also driving automation through scripting and testing of new/emerging technologies to deliver faster deployments and decreased workload.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support to Support System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune Autopilot to include: collection and query creation and management; application and package creation and deployment; content distribution, management and troubleshooting, and custom report creation.
Use SCCM and Intune software update groups to keep Windows workstations and servers patched to correct levels.
Create and deploy system templates and images in vCenter
Manage and maintain Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 systems and Windows 11 PC images.
Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.
Manage, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and Linux servers, workstations, and laptops.
Work with and manage Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, SCCM/MECM, virtual servers, VMware, and Azure including support of AD migration of accounts and objects.
Ensure compliance of current security policies and remediations.
Apply modern configuration management practices to endpoint management.
Proactively monitor and measure systems performance to detect trends and catch problems before users are impacted.
Respond to systems alerts, triage, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
Work closely with other support teams to ensure incident events are handled in a timely manner.
Handle incoming technical escalations from Service Desk, Network Operations Security Center, Tier II, and other support teams.
Write PowerShell/python scripts to automate systems administration tasks.
Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers.
Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals; work well within small and large team environments.
Serves as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met.

Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to attain DHS EOD
Must attain ITIL 4 Foundation certification within the first 6 months of employment
BA or BS + 6 years of applicable experience
5+ years SCCM experience, supporting software packaging and patching
Working knowledge of SCCM and Intune to include device enrollment, policy management, application deployment, compliance enforcement, and conditional access
Solid understanding of VMware vCenter
Functional understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory
Expertise in MDT and SCCM (capturing images (.WIM), creating packages, advertisements, task sequences, operating system deployment (OSD) and queries)
Solid knowledge of PowerShell scripting to automate tasking and customize configurations
Solid knowledge of Active Directory Security Groups, OUs, DNS, and GPO management
Solid Windows troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of networking concepts including VPN and certificate-based authentication
Desired:
ITIL v4 certification
MCSE Certified
SCCM Certified
Microsoft Endpoint Manager Specialist Certified
Microsoft 365: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Certified
Autopilot experience
Linux experience
