Job Description: We are seeking an experienced
Sr. Java Developer
to join our team onsite in
Central Pennsylvania (Harrisburg area) . This role is essential to the design, development, testing, and deployment of secure, scalable enterprise web applications and services. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in
Java/J2EE development , strong SOA and web services experience, and the ability to lead and collaborate across the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy complex enterprise applications using Java/J2EE. Build secure SOA web services leveraging
OWSM ,
UDDI , and
Oracle Identity Manager (LDAP) . Develop SOAP and RESTful APIs using
Spring Web Services
and
JAX-RS . Participate in all phases of project life cycle, including architecture, development, testing, and deployment. Implement BPEL orchestration and human tasks. Develop front-end components using
VueJS
and
NodeJS . Utilize
WebSphere Application Server ,
WebLogic , and
Tomcat
for server-side deployments. Program with
XML ,
JAXB ,
SAX ,
DOM , and use tools like
XSLT ,
XPath , and
XQuery . Use IDEs such as
Eclipse ,
JDeveloper , or
Spring Tool Suite . Implement threading, garbage collection tuning, and performance optimization. Apply
JDBC ,
OpenJPA ,
Hibernate , and other ORM tools for backend data access. Write complex SQL and PL/SQL stored procedures on
Oracle
databases. Follow best practices in
SOA , including reusable service design, loose coupling, and high availability. Contribute to and review architectural decisions, coding standards, and design documents. Use tools such as
GIT ,
Ant , and scripting (Shell/Perl) for builds and automation. Ensure security using
Web Service Security
and
Java Security frameworks . Work closely with other developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Required Skills:
8+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE development experience. Experience developing enterprise web applications in a
SOA architecture . Proven background in
SOAP and RESTful services ,
Spring Framework , and
Java design patterns . Strong front-end development skills with
VueJS
and
NodeJS . Deep understanding of
distributed systems ,
threading , and
performance tuning . Strong SQL and database development experience with
Oracle . Solid debugging and troubleshooting capabilities. Experience with
Agile development methodologies .
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with
WebLogic ,
WebSphere , or other JEE application servers. Familiarity with
Unix/Linux
and
Windows
environments. Scripting experience with
