Schedule: Full Time Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and personable Help Desk II to provide hands-on technical support for our senior living communities and skilled nursing facility. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about customer service, enjoys solving problems, and is eager to help others learn and use technology effectively. The successful candidate will be the face of IT support, responding quickly to staff needs, and ensuring technology enhances the quality of care and daily operations.
Job Duties:
Provide onsite technical support for computers, mobile devices, printers, network equipment, and specialized healthcare technology. Respond promptly to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems efficiently to minimize downtime. Deliver exceptional customer service to staff, residents (as needed), and visitors (as needed), ensuring all interactions are courteous, patient, and solution-oriented. Communicate technical information clearly and effectively to users at all levels, from executives to frontline caregivers and residents. Assist with onboarding and training staff on IT systems, applications, and best practices. Document support activities, solutions, and user feedback in the ticketing system. Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex issues. Maintain and organize IT equipment, perform routine maintenance, and assist with hardware/software upgrades. Support the implementation of new technologies and participate in IT projects as needed. Foster a positive and supportive environment for technology adoption and digital literacy. Uphold confidential information as required by Guardian Angels policy and procedure and as related to HIPAA. Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or customer-focused environment. Strong troubleshooting skills with Microsoft 365 Applications, Microsoft Server Administration, Windows, iOS/Android devices, printers, and basic networking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service and a genuine desire to help others. Ability to prioritize tasks, respond quickly to urgent needs, and remain calm under pressure. Willingness to teach and support users at all levels, including one-on-one and group training. High level of professionalism, patience, punctuality, and compassion. Ability to lift and move equipment as needed. Reliable transportation required for traveling to various facilities as needed. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
