VP of Engineering

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President of Engineering to lead a remote-first engineering organization of 60+ offshore engineers. This is a key leadership role responsible for aligning technical execution with business outcomes, driving architectural excellence, and fostering a high-performance engineering culture. Responsibilities : Translate business goals into scalable engineering strategies and outcomes Define and execute the technical roadmap in alignment with executive leadership and product teams Guide 5–6 senior engineering managers and support cross-functional collaboration Ensure architectural and engineering excellence across systems, tools, and platforms Champion best practices in software development, testing, scalability, and security Drive process improvements in delivery velocity, release management, and vendor operations Promote a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement Qualifications : 15+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in senior engineering leadership (VP or above) Proven success managing a distributed engineering organization of 50–100+ team members Expertise in consumer web technologies, system architecture, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills Experience with agile methodologies and building remote-first engineering cultures Willingness to work across time zones and travel for leadership meetings as needed Tech Stack Includes : Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, .NET / C#, Node.js / TypeScript, SQL Server, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, and more.
