Position Purpose:
The Pacific Northwest (PNW) Director of Human Resources is a leadership position reporting directly to the Operating Company (OpCo) President. The role provides executive guidance to the senior leadership team, driving HR strategy and execution. Responsibilities include long-term talent management, succession planning, associate growth, and day-to-day HR functions such as benefits, relations, and staffing. The successful Director acts as an advocate for associates and a change-agent. The role involves assessing HR needs, collaborating proactively with the business, and delivering value-added HR services aligned with organizational goals. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Business Partnering:
Advises department heads and leaders on HR matters, influencing business strategies and managing employee and labor relations. Strategy Implementation:
Implements HR and business initiatives, supports organizational structure development. Engagement & Wellbeing:
Champions initiatives to improve associate health and satisfaction, fostering a positive culture. Associate Relations:
Supports management with complex HR issues, conducts investigations, and advises on actions. Talent Acquisition & Development:
Manages recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, succession planning, and talent development programs. HR Metrics & Analysis:
Uses data to develop action plans, monitor trends, and improve retention. Performance & Labor Management:
Oversees performance evaluations, manages poor performers, and maintains labor relations. Compliance:
Ensures adherence to HR policies and legal regulations, partnering with legal and regional HR teams. Community Engagement:
Represents the organization in the community and promotes social responsibility. Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent 4-6+ years HR experience, managing a client group of over 100 associates Confidentiality and HRIS experience (UKG preferred) Knowledge of HR laws and proven success in HR program development Excellent communication, relationship-building, analytical skills, and leadership ability Additional Details:
