Data Analyst
HII is looking for a Data Analyst to support AFRL/IZO in collecting from primary and secondary resources and providing analysis of those findings in a SharePoint dashboard. The data analyst will be required to have a working knowledge of SharePoint and PowerBI tools. The data analyst develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and models data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage. Conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification. Manages all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems. Maintains analytical systems, verifies the accuracy of the data, and acts as liaison with business. This effort will help AFRL IZO leadership with strategic planning of resources and tasking to support other AFRL technical directorates. Essential Job Responsibilities: Shall collect and analyze data from primary and secondary sources, optimizing for statistical efficiency and quality. Shall identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex datasets. Shall filter and clean data, reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct anomalies. Shall develop and maintain databases and data systems relevant to assigned tasks. Shall develop and deliver regular reports and visualizations that communicate data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Shall translate business requirements into analytical tasks and communicate findings to stakeholders, highlighting potential risks and opportunities. Shall collaborate with diverse audiences, operating virtually as required, to gather requirements, share insights, and foster an understanding of data-driven decision-making. Shall maintain current knowledge of the Department of the Air Force (DAF), Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), and Digital Capabilities Directorate (DCD) mission, goals, objectives, functions, organization, work processes, and program areas, incorporating this knowledge into analytical efforts. Shall prioritize and align analytics projects to support and meet DAF, AFRL, and DCD needs. Shall identify and define opportunities for process improvement based on data analysis. Shall develop and maintain data visualizations to enhance AFRL communication and response capabilities. Shall establish and maintain contacts with government, business, and industry professionals relevant to data analysis and reporting activities. Shall assist with the execution of programmatic deliverables, to include analyzing and reporting on documentation, program effectiveness, providing key metrics and recommendations for improvement. Minimum Qualifications: 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite and related tools, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Power BI, to effectively create, edit, manage, and analyze information relevant to assigned tasks. Minimum of 3 years' experience in professional writing, web content administration, and SharePoint site and content management Must possess an active Secret or can obtain a Secret clearance Preferred Requirements: Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a SharePoint Developer to include: Providing technical assistance for analyzing user needs, translating them into requirements, and developing associated SharePoint solutions Designing and developing web parts integrating applications, workflows, page templates, and web services with minimal guidance Creating connections to systems allowing the display of dashboards using components such as Structured Query Language (SQL) Reporting Service, etc., with minimal guidance Experience supporting National, DoD, Component, or Intelligence Community operations, Minimum of 2 years' experience with HTML, CSS, SharePoint, and database management systems including inter-agency collaboration preferred The listed salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities.
