ARES has an exciting opportunity for a
Facility Engineer (HVAC) . This role will serve as the Facility Engineer (HVAC) maintaining and upgrading the BGIF Facility.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure proper power, heating, cooling, ventilation, space management, construction, security, and maintenance for interior workspaces and computer rooms in the BGIF.
Plan and conduct inspections (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) on BGIF power and cooling systems, including air filters, cooling systems, and CRAC units. Conduct preventative/corrective maintenance and procure supplies as needed.
Develop and implement a BGIF Maintenance Plan to ensure 99.96% uptime for power and cooling systems.
Manage server room cooling/HVAC systems for all racks in BGIF server rooms, including redundancies.
Experience/Competencies/Skills:
Perform HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair, including refrigerant and compressed air systems.
Install or repair HVAC systems and components, diagnose malfunctions, and use technical publications and test equipment.
Work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to locate and diagnose system problems and perform repairs.
Manage and organize HVAC support services for the OPIR TAP Lab.
Education:
HS and/or AS degree with 5 years relevant experience or Journeyman HVAC/Mechanic with 2-5 years’ experience.
Relevant training and certification through apprenticeship or equivalent.
Current TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility is required.
