Operations & Strategy, Division of Human Resources (HR) exists to provide decentralized human resources services to the public, applicants, managers, and employees who work for the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS). The Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) unit acts as a liaison between HR and other business units to align CDHS’s people strategy with its business strategy. The unit ensures that HR practices support the organization’s overall goals and help attract and retain top talent while remaining in compliance with appropriate employment laws, statutes, and regulations.

Please Note: This position has hybrid work arrangements. Employees are expected to report to the office at least 2 days a week. These arrangements are subject to change.

About this Position: The purpose of this position is to support the HRBPs team with daily tasks such as compensation, talent acquisition, employment, labor relations, and job evaluation. This position determines solutions to practical problems using specified professional standards and established criteria. This position applies human resources theory, principles, and models relating to the administration of human resources programs.

Act as an active member of the HRBP team and foster an inclusive work environment.

Summary of Job Duties:

Talent Acquisition Compensation Employee and Labor Relations Job Evaluation MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only: Five (5) years of relevant Human Resources Experience in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Employee & Labor Relations, and/or Job Evaluation

OR

Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business Administration, Workforce Development, Employment Law, Organizational Management, Legal Studies and/or Labor Studies AND one (1) year of relevant Human Resource experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.

Substitutions:

Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal and people skills with the ability to interact with multiple program leaders at many different levels.

Ability to have strong analytical skills and has the ability to research and analyze data to understand compensation and recruitment trends.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to pivot and organize priorities.

Ability to adapt to business needs with ease.

Ability to meet and negotiate with leaders supporting positive pathways to support the business need.

Demonstrated experience with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, statutes and rules.

Conditions of Employment:
