Activities Director (Program and Outreach Director)
to join their team! The Program and Outreach Director reports directly to the Executive Director. Purpose
The Activities Director is responsible for developing, leading, and overseeing a resident-centered activities and outreach program that promotes and integrates the Phoenix Senior Living philosophy to incorporate wellness in all aspects of the seniors’ lives we serve. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and training an Assistant Program and Outreach Director. Resident Care
Participate in the Personalized Service Plans (PSP). Refer to the Resident Profile and addendum for every new resident. Ensure a variety of appropriate, personalized activities that incorporate all wellness dimensions, available throughout the day and evening with resident care associate participation. Maintain the PSL Activity & Program Guidebook, tracking resident interest and participation daily. Organize small groups or clubs based on resident demographics and needs. Recognize resident changes in condition and take appropriate action. Assist residents to and from activity rooms and routine life-enriching activities, especially in memory care. Maintain inventory of activity supplies, games, programs, and crafts. Schedule and facilitate monthly resident Council meetings. Requirements
Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Gerontology, or related field preferred. 1–3 years’ experience in senior living or event planning, including moderate to large events. Demonstrated leadership capabilities. Knowledge of Assisted Living and Dementia care preferred. Physical Requirements
Stand/walk for 4–6 hours daily. Sit for 2–4 hours daily. Drive 30-60 minutes weekly. Support/lift up to 50 lbs regularly, occasionally 150 lbs. Lift/carry up to 40 lbs regularly, occasionally 70 lbs. Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and reaching frequently or occasionally as specified. Additional Details
