Paramedic Emergency Department Opportunity

What you should expect to do in this role: Establish IV access as delegated by a RN. Provide assistance with patient care, transportation of patients, specimens and supplies; cleaning and stocking the department, patient rooms and transport ambulance; other duties as assigned. Perform intra facility transport. Perform assigned tasks and activities according to skill level and patient needs as assessed by the RN. Support nursing personnel in providing care to patients and assists with providing a safe, quiet, clean, organized environment for healthcare delivery. Answer telephone and intercom efficiently and courteously, relaying messages and calls to appropriate personnel and other departments as needed. Maintain records, transcribe physician orders, and assure orders are carried out in an expeditious manner. What qualifications you will need: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the AHA or ARC. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within the first 90 days of hire. Minimum 2 years of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital. Ability to routinely multi-task in a busy, stressful, fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. High School Diploma or GED required. Current certification/licensure as a Paramedic or EMTA (Emergency Medical Technician Advanced) per state requirements. No Travel Required. 2 years experience required.
