Job Description
Visa’s Corporate IT group is reimagining enterprise technology, evolving into an engineering-focused organization that prioritizes customer experience and operational excellence. As part of this journey, we are seeking a Director, Unified Communications & AV Conferencing, to lead the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of our global communications and conferencing platforms—including Teams Phone (direct routing, calling plans), Cisco Unified Communications Manager, AudioCodes gateways, Webex MeetingPlace, Zoom Collaboration, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), and Teams Pro.
This leader will drive technology adoption, innovation, and operational excellence across these platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences and supporting Visa’s transformation goals.
Essential Functions:
Strategy and Implementation
Develop and execute unified communications (UC) and conferencing technology strategies and roadmaps. Lead large-scale, cross-functional projects and vendor relationships for Teams Phone, Cisco UC Manager, AudioCodes, Webex, Zoom, and Teams platforms. Drive platform integration for a cohesive, secure, and reliable user experience. Align UC/AV technology initiatives with Visa's organizational goals. Provide regular updates to executive management on progress, risks, and issues. Oversee workforce planning, budget development, tracking, and forecasting.
Innovation
Continuously evaluate and implement new UC/AV technologies and industry trends (e.g., cloud migration, AI enhancements, automation). Promote adoption of automation and cloud solutions to improve collaboration and conferencing experiences. Support secure deployment and risk management best practices.
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations, support, and delivery of live and virtual meetings/events across all major platforms (Teams, Cisco, Webex, Zoom). Ensure business continuity, exceptional service, and end-user satisfaction. Manage adoption and change initiatives for new tools. Provide budget, workforce, and resource management for the UC/AV team.
Team Leadership
Mentor, develop, and motivate a high-performing global team. Champion diversity, inclusion, and professional growth. Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive consensus across cross-functional teams.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience 7-10 years in technology leadership, with experience managing high-performing global teams. 6 years of relevant work experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD). Experience overseeing enterprise-scale unified communications and conferencing platforms (including Teams Phone, Cisco UC Manager, AudioCodes, Webex, Zoom, Teams, MTR, Teams Pro). Proven track record managing complex, multi-vendor programs. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience with ERP-level or enterprise technology deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
10 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD Strong people management and team development skills. Experience driving digital transformation in unified communications/AV/streaming. Familiarity with ITIL, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies. Experience with ServiceNow ITSM tool. High ethical standards and sound judgment.

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
