Job Identification:
•Immediate Supervisor: Training Store Manager.
•EEOC Class: Sales Workers.
•FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
Wage: $18.00 per hour full-time only
Job Summary: The Cashier will use cash registers and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers. Provides excellent customer service to promote long-term, positive customer relationships. Trains all employees assigned to Rose Training Store with best cashier practices, while maintaining great customer service and promoting store sales.
Duties/Responsibilities: •Greets customers as they enter the location. •Ability to provide and demonstrate positive customer service and to de-escalate customer service issues. •Accepts money in the form of cash and credit or debit cards for items purchased. •Identifies prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment. •Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies. •Trains new or existing employees in all aspects of cashiering. •Helps to implement and maintain the retail training curriculum to achieve desired goal or outcome for all training associates. •Follows all policies and procedures while following all best practices. •Skilled with NetSuite system and able to train others with a high level of competence. •Ensures accurate transactions. •Bag, box, and wrap purchased items. •Understands ticket rotation. •Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information. •Stocks merchandise. •Responsible for a neat, clean and organized store and able to train the best standards. •Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission
Requirements: Required Skills/Abilities: •Excellent customer service skills. •Excellent verbal communication skills. •Superior ability to train new or existing cashier associates for all locations. •Follows and helps others to follow all safety policies and procedures. •Read, write, speak and understand English. •Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scanners. •Basic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refunds. •Punctual. •May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis. •Knowledgeable about company's mission and services, and customer-related policies.
Physical Requirements: •Prolonged periods standing (up to 8 hours) and working on cash register or related equipment. •Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds at times. •Ability to bend/squat/stoop. •Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time. •Free from drug and alcohol abuse.
Equipment, machines and tools used: •Electronic cash register. •Smart Safe. •Calculator. •Telephone. •Charge Card terminal. •Broom, dust mop, wet mop, water bucket.
