Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is the state’s largest hunger relief organization and one of the leading food banks in the Feeding America Network. In additional to vital hunger relief programs in our 21-county service area, we also operate Fresh Connect Central, a regional produce cooperative for Feeding America, serve as a contract reclamation site for Kroger Central Division, and are a staging site for FEMA disaster response.
Position Purpose of The Supply Chain Coordinator : The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for managing the accurate and timely entry of all incoming and outgoing product orders into the Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role ensures that all shipments are verified against purchase or donation orders, maintains inventory integrity, supports scheduling, and upholds compliance with food safety regulations. The position requires strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The Supply Chain Coordinator : Primary functions include supporting the receiving and shipping of all products into our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and warehouse management system (WMS), ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. Verify product type and quantity against purchase and donation orders. Review, document and report on product quality issues with Supply Chain and quality assurance teams. Scan Bills of Lading into the system Maintain inventory integrity by insuring all products are properly recording with correct dates, inventory counts and tags. Communicate with supply chain team, warehouse management, other departments, and other business partners to maximize efficiency, maintain inbound load accuracy and assist in resource allocation. Assist with scheduling inbound and outbound loads. Assist with third-party storage scheduling, paperwork and inventory management Assist in updating and maintaining nutritional ranking on all inbound products Contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and data within the WMS. Work safely and accurately with minimal supervision. Provide backup support to Supply Chain and Gleaners teams as needed. Change tasks and assignments as the needs of the team requires. Ensure compliance and adherence to all food safety guidelines according to GFB, Feeding America, AIB, USDA, ISDH and any other applicable processes or regulations for safe and sanitary production and storage of all products. : High school diploma or equivalent experience; secondary education or relevant certification a plus Prior experience in customer service, logistics, supply chain, warehousing and data management is desired Other Skills and Abilities of
