This individual will lead the end-to-end M&A lifecycle—from deal sourcing and due diligence through negotiation, execution, and post-merger integration—focused on expanding the company’s footprint across physician practices, hospitals, ancillary services, digital health platforms, and other healthcare-related entities. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare industry expertise, a strong financial acumen, and a proven track record of successful healthcare transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive M&A strategy aligned with the company’s long-term growth objectives in the healthcare sector, including physician group consolidation, ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging, behavioral health, and urgent care. Financial & Strategic Analysis: Conduct rigorous financial modeling and strategic assessments, incorporating a payer mix, reimbursement trends, regulatory risk, and clinical quality indicators. Due Diligence Management: Lead cross-functional due diligence teams—including legal compliance, clinical operations, IT, and revenue cycle—to evaluate clinical integration, regulatory compliance (e.g., Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA), and scalability. Transaction Execution: Structure, negotiate, and close transactions that align with both financial return thresholds and strategic growth imperatives. Integration Oversight: Drive post-merger integration efforts to ensure operational, cultural, and clinical alignment across acquired entities. Clinical Collaboration: Partner with medical leadership to assess the clinical and value-based care implications of potential acquisitions. Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of evolving healthcare regulations and reimbursement models (e.g., CMS, Medicare/Medicaid, value-based care) to inform acquisition strategy. Executive Communication: Prepare and present detailed business cases and strategic recommendations for executive leadership and board stakeholders.
