Brief Overview
Leads the creation and execution of a multi-year underwriting capabilities roadmap to enable the strategic expansion of RGA’s underwriting services. Plans and deploys software, data and analytics, and AI capabilities to meet the needs of clients and build differentiated solutions. Collaborates with underwriting leadership to analyze needs and chart a course forward with anticipation of capabilities required to advance the business roadmap. Partners with internal, cross-functional teams and external providers to assemble next-generation solutions to gain competitive advantage.
What will you do
Directs the creation of an enabling, multi-year capability roadmap and functional plans in collaboration with key underwriting leaders and global partners that supports aggressive, scalable business growth. Accountable for executing the roadmap with Global Data and Analytics resources and technical teams across RGA creating alignment between the technical, AI, and business roadmaps to ensure business expansion goals are met. Defines a strategy for how to compile a robust and scalable solution set from internal, existing capabilities, new internal capabilities, and external, contracted vendor solutions. Lead and act as the subject matter expert within underwriting advancing our data and analytics capabilities. Foster and drive a strong data-driven culture. Utilizes influence to shift the organization from a siloed, functionally oriented approach to one that is integrated, ultimately creating a cohesive ecosystem of underwriting solutions for our clients. Interfaces with global partners to vet roadmaps and evaluate capabilities that can be extended to other markets and/or developed in conjunction with global partners for widespread use. Leads Business Analyst and Product (Capability) Owner team members toward the achievement of the collective business goals fostering skill development coupled with creative problem solving and critical thinking. Leads the team and cross-functional stakeholders to execute the initiatives and monitor performance adjusting as needed to optimize results. Develops and manages the enabling capability budget and ensures it is scaled according to the projected revenue and long-term value that the organization will derive. Creates business cases as needed in support of the evolving capabilities. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in science, business, or related field of study. 15+ years’ experience leading technology and AI solution evaluation, development, implementation, and capability scaling within the financial services and/or life insurance industries Significant experience leading the successful evaluation, acquisition, and integration of complex vendor solutions across a matrixed, cross-functional organizational structure Experience delivering results aligned with strategic goals, while effectively managing performance, activities, and capabilities within budget.

Compensation Range
$146,950.00 - $218,950.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
