Who is BlueRock?

BlueRock Therapeutics LP is a clinical-stage cell therapy company focused on developing medicines for neurological and ophthalmic diseases. Our investigational therapies include bemdaneprocel (BRT-DA01) for Parkinson's disease and OpCT-001 for primary photoreceptor diseases. What Are We Doing?

We leverage foundational science to create and direct the differentiation of pluripotent stem cells into functional cells for allogeneic cellular therapies. We also engineer these cells to produce therapeutic proteins, aiming to deliver groundbreaking treatments and shape the future of cellular medicine.

The Director, Strategic Sourcing, reports to the Senior Director, Procurement and Strategic Sourcing, and contributes to the BlueRock Finance Team. This role leads category management, develops sourcing strategies aligned with company goals, negotiates supplier agreements, and manages strategic supplier relationships. The ideal candidate has extensive sourcing experience in development, contract research organizations, manufacturing, or technical operations. Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including strategic planning, market analysis, RFX development, and contract negotiations. Develop and implement procurement strategies in collaboration with stakeholders across departments. Drive cost savings and value through negotiations, savings initiatives, and supplier partnerships. Monitor supplier performance and facilitate continuous improvement using KPIs and business reviews. Identify market trends for innovation, cost avoidance, and value creation. Ensure contracts comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or related field; advanced technical degree preferred. At least 10 years of procurement experience in biotech, pharma, or CRO industries. Experience managing categories like CROs, labs, service providers, or clinical technologies. Proven negotiation skills for complex agreements with CDMOs, CROs, and suppliers. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Strong analytical and project management skills. Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, Coupa), e-sourcing tools, and MS Excel. #LI-AL1
