Looking for Pharmacy Technicians in Louisville, KY (40299)! Great opportunity if you have kids that are getting ready to start back to school! Start date is 9/15/25. Candidate requirements: One (1) year of previous specialty pharmacy technician experience Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology Ability to recognize subtle differences in names and numbers High school diploma or equivalent Job details: $19/HR Monday-Friday Shifts - several 1st shifts to choose from starting at 8am Training hours will be M-F from 8:30am-5pm Located in Louisville, KY 40299 Verify information on prescriptions received prior to processing (correct prescriber, name of patient, patient information, medication, dose, quantity, number of refills, lot, and expiration date) Follow HIPAA and privacy law guidelines, and any other local or federal laws Maintain all records including prescription logs and related files Perform follow up on all outstanding prescriptions/authorizations and communicate discrepancies to pharmacist or PSC technicians Related job titles: Retail Pharmacy Tech, Compound Pharmacy Tech
