Technical Architect (AWS Architect)

Position Overview

We are seeking a senior level AWS Architect to lead cloud infrastructure design and strategy across our enterprise organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, requiring an individual who can translate complex business and security requirements into comprehensive architectural solutions while mentoring teams and driving platform engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Design and architect scalable, secure AWS solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise requirements. Create detailed architectural diagrams, documentation, and design specifications using industry standard tools and methodologies. Translate business requirements, technology constraints, and security mandates into actionable user stories and technical designs that development teams can implement effectively.

Lead the architectural governance of

AWS multi account

environments using

AWS Control Tower

and Landing Zone Accelerator, establishing patterns and standards that ensure consistency, security, and operational excellence across the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technology, and security teams to understand requirements and constraints, then architect solutions that balance functionality, performance, cost, and risk.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates and patterns using

AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation

that serve as architectural blueprints for development teams. Design CI/CD architectures leveraging GitHub Actions and Runners that support enterprise scale deployments while maintaining security and compliance standards.

Apply Platform Engineering principles to create enterprise wide developer platforms and tooling strategies. Serve as a technical leader and mentor, training architecture and engineering teams on cloud best practices, design patterns, and emerging technologies including AI powered development tools.

Required Skills and Experience Extensive experience architecting complex

AWS solutions

with deep knowledge of cloud services, design patterns, and architectural frameworks. Proven ability to create comprehensive architectural diagrams using tools such as

Lucidchart, Draw.io, or AWS Architecture Center tools , with strong skills in technical documentation and specification writing. Expert level proficiency in Infrastructure as

Code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation,

with the ability to design reusable, scalable templates and modules. Advanced experience with GitHub ecosystem including Actions, Runners, and enterprise scale source control strategies. Demonstrated success working in large enterprise environments with complex organizational structures, regulatory requirements, and cross functional stakeholder management. Strong background in Platform Engineering concepts with experience designing and implementing developer platforms and tooling ecosystems. Hands on expertise with

Zone Accelerator

for multi account architecture and governance. Proven experience working within Agile Scrum methodologies, with the ability to break down complex architectural initiatives into manageable stories and epics. Exceptional communication and documentation skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs. Strong experience in technical training and mentoring with demonstrated success in achieving High Availability
