LOCATION OF POSITION

POSITION DUTIES

The Compass Division of the Comptroller of Maryland is currently migrating to a modern integrated tax system (ITS). We are seeking a motivated individual to lead a team of Analysts responsible for forms training in our imaging system for upcoming ITS releases and for those already in production in our ITS. This position acts as a liaison with multiple ITS Vendors and acts as a Business Owner for our ITS forms development team.

PLEASE NOTE : A hybrid telework schedule may be available after completion of system and tax training.

Education

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate

Experience

Two years of experience providing problem analysis and ongoing user support, coordinating system development and implementation Two years of management experience in a supervisory role.

Desired Or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors' or Masters' Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related field with specific coursework in the structure and use of automated information systems. Knowledge and experience with document imaging software or equipment. Knowledge and experience with the functions and capabilities of automated business systems. Knowledge and experience with the principles of leadership with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. Skill in providing ongoing user support and coordinating system development and implementation. Skill in creating, reviewing and updating application documentation and training materials. Skill in applying analytical and critical thinking to enable effective troubleshooting for simple and complex application system problems. Skill in communicating effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Skilled in planning, coordinating, supervising, training and evaluating the work of lower-level team members.

LIMITATIONS ON SELECTION

Must work on site in Annapolis Monday through Friday in a full-time capacity. Required hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
