Sr. System Integration Engineer

Abacus Technology is seeking a Sr. Systems Integration Engineer to provide technical support at Robins AFB. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Perform systems engineering including systems design and integration, manufacturing, quality, industrial engineering, airworthiness, configuration, and data management. Assist in developing, deploying, and maintaining processes to ensure weapon systems are fully integrated, manufactured, sustained, configuration managed, and operationally safe and effective throughout their lifecycle. Understand and execute AFPD 62-6,

USAF Airworthiness , through standardized processes and issuance of flight authorizations. Apply OSS&E and airworthiness processes, provide risk assessments, safety analysis, and address high-priority safety issues. Review program databases, analyze BIT failure reports, and verify failure report accuracy against the BIT interpreter analyzer. Provide system integration guidance for aircraft program offices regarding system installation and maintenance. Review and analyze technical proposals or modifications for design feasibility and system capability. Conduct performance, cost, reliability, supportability, and schedule risk assessments, and trade-off studies. Perform systems analyses including design feasibility and state-of-the-art assessments. Support technology and systems development with engineering expertise. Assist in developing and reviewing the overall system design baseline.

Qualifications

15+ years in systems engineering, with at least 5 supporting DoD programs. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Understanding of DoD, AF, and engineering principles to enhance weapon system performance and sustainability. Knowledge of systems engineering, system definition, development, integration, verification, sustainment, risk modeling, testing, human system integration, interoperability, and airworthiness certification. Experience with electronic technical systems like IETMS and JCALS preferred. Proficiency with software, operating systems, networks, and system architecture. Experience across all stages of the system development life cycle. Skills in process modeling, workflow diagrams, requirements elicitation, and technical specifications translation. Ability to perform problem analysis, trade studies, roadmap analysis, and design trade-offs. Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information clearly. Must be a US citizen with a current Secret clearance.
