We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Distribution/Manufacturing Facility Manager to oversee our operations with direct oversight from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in managing distribution or manufacturing facilities, particularly in sectors involving controlled substances. This role requires a thorough understanding of regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and operational efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and manage the daily operations of the distribution or manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with all DEA regulations and guidelines. - Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the handling, storage, and distribution of Class 2-5 narcotics. - Ensure that all staff are trained in DEA regulations and company policies regarding controlled substances. - Monitor inventory levels and oversee the secure handling of narcotics to prevent loss, theft, or diversion. - Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all products meet regulatory standards and internal quality metrics. - Conduct regular audits and inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. - Maintain accurate documentation and records related to the handling and distribution of controlled substances. - Act as the primary point of contact for DEA inspections and audits, addressing any compliance issues that arise. - Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the facility, promoting best practices among staff. - Stay updated on changes in regulations and industry standards related to the distribution of controlled substances. **Qualifications:** - Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience leading a distribution or manufacturing facility with direct DEA oversight. - Must have 5 years of experience working with Class 2-5 narcotics, demonstrating a thorough understanding of their handling and regulatory requirements. - Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Pharmaceutical Science) is preferred; relevant certifications are a plus. - Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. - Proficiency in inventory management systems and compliance tracking software **Preferred Skills:** - Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, particularly in environments regulated by the DEA. - Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP). - Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies related to controlled substances. **Why Join Us?** - Be part of a dynamic team committed to ensuring the safe and compliant distribution of pharmaceutical products. - Competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development. - A supportive work environment that values integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement.
