About The Role

You’ll be joining an integrated Software Solutions Team to build and maintain high quality infrastructure and automation solutions for hybrid cloud environments, primarily in AWS. As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with software engineers and other DevOps professionals to design, implement, and refine CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring systems, and security practices that support scalable and reliable applications.

What You'll Do

Collaborate with Agile team members to design, develop, test, and implement cloud infrastructure and automation solutions.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.

Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.

Implement and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.

Apply cloud security best practices to ensure compliance, data protection and infrastructure hardening.

Participate in code reviews, design discussions and continuous improvement of DevOps practices and tooling.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across development, staging, and production environments.

What We’re Looking For

Deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, RDS, S3, IAM, Route 53 and VPC networking. Experience with scalability, security, cost optimization, cloud governance and designing for resilience and disaster recovery.

Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Proficient in scripting and automation using Python and Bash.

Hands-on experience with Chef or Ansible for automating system configuration, application deployment and infrastructure consistency across environments.

Experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to manage and provision cloud infrastructure.

Proficient with monitoring, logging, alerting and observability tools such as Grafana, Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, ELK stack and PagerDuty.

Comfortable with administering Linux systems, including configuration, debugging, security mechanisms and performance tuning in distributed environments.

Familiarity with AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, and IAM best practices. Experience implementing security benchmarks such as CIS AWS Foundations Benchmark and NIST compliance frameworks.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with AWS GovCloud for building secure, compliant solutions in regulated environments such as government or defense.

Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI APIs).

Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and LucidCharts.
