Job Overview:
We are seeking a
Senior Eveningwear Designer
with deep expertise in
formalwear and/or bridal
to lead the creation and evolution of high-impact evening collections. This role is ideal for a seasoned designer with a strong market sense, commercial acumen, and the creative vision to drive category growth through elevated, trend-forward design. You will play a critical role in shaping collection strategy, identifying new product opportunities, and ensuring our eveningwear assortment excites our customers and meets the brand’s commercial goals. Responsibilities and Duties: Lead the
design and development of seasonal eveningwear collections , ensuring alignment with brand vision and market demands. Evaluate and provide
actionable feedback on existing collections , identifying areas of opportunity and ensuring product consistency and excellence. Identify
assortment gaps and product voids , and develop new styles that address evolving customer preferences and market trends. Submit original designs and make design corrections to
optimize sales performance
and capitalize on merchandising opportunities. Collaborate closely with
overseas and U.S.-based design teams
to enhance selected categories and drive innovation across key product lines. Regularly analyze
competitor offerings and influencer-led trends
to inform product direction and strategic growth. Update
assortment strategies
as needed based on performance metrics, market shifts, and customer feedback. Contribute meaningfully to the
overall design direction , acting as a mentor and creative lead within the design team. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or a related field. 10+ years of experience
in formalwear, bridal, or special occasion design roles. Proven success in designing
commercially viable and trend-relevant
eveningwear collections. Deep knowledge of
eveningwear and special occasion markets , including key customer segments and industry trends. Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to balance creativity with business objectives. Exceptional
communication, collaboration, and organizational
abilities. Experience working with
international vendors and cross-functional teams
is preferred. Physical Requirements: While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision.
