Interested in joining us on our journey? We are looking for a collaborative and strategic sourcing leader to join our Refrigeration team as Director, Sourcing – Refrigeration. In this role, you will be responsible for driving product cost improvements, supporting the successful launch of large-scale new product introductions (NPIs), and leading sourcing strategies for over $700M in direct material spend across three GE Appliances manufacturing sites. This is a high-impact role focused on profitability, margin optimization, supplier performance, and cross-functional collaboration with technology, manufacturing, and product management teams.

How You'll Create Possibilities

Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership Lead and develop the Refrigeration Sourcing team through goal setting, mentoring, coaching, performance management, and career development. Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Product Line Support Provide strategic oversight of sourcing activities for $700M+ of direct material spend, working closely with Commodity Buying Teams (CBTs). Identify and execute product cost-out opportunities, partnering with internal stakeholders and supplier quality teams. Lead competitive benchmarking and teardowns to identify product and cost optimization opportunities. Guide make vs. buy decisions and support the analysis of bill of material (BOM) cost impacts. Collaborate with other business units to drive sourcing synergy and meet cost-out targets. Support supplier capacity planning, risk mitigation, and long-term supply strategy. Participate in Product Council meetings to align sourcing with product evolution. New Product Introduction (NPI) Oversee sourcing responsibilities for NPIs, ensuring launches meet or exceed cost and schedule commitments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on supplier selection, onboarding, and early engagement. Partner with service and technology teams to ensure supply chain readiness at launch. Resolve supplier-related challenges related to cost, delivery, safety, and quality. What You'll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 10 years of progressive experience in sourcing, supply chain, program management, or commodity management. Experience leading teams and driving change in a complex organization. Proven ability to build strong partnerships and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis. Ability to travel 10–20%, including internationally. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a sourcing team supporting a product line. Senior-level global sourcing or procurement background with expertise in supplier management and contract negotiation. Strong cross-functional knowledge gained through roles in manufacturing, technology, quality, and product line functions. Experience supporting new product introductions (NPIs) at GE Appliances.
