Civil Litigation Associate

Job Overview: A respected litigation-focused law firm is seeking a full-time Civil Litigation Associate Attorney for its St. Louis, Missouri office. This role is ideal for an attorney with 3 to 5 years of litigation experience who is passionate about trial work, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a busy and collaborative litigation team. Location: St. Louis, Missouri Duties: Collaborate closely with experienced litigation attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants Draft pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, and legal opinions Handle and attend depositions, mediations, conferences, and court appearances Prepare trial documents and support litigation teams in trial strategy and execution Manage a caseload involving a variety of civil litigation matters Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal recommendations Communicate with clients and stakeholders regarding case status and strategy Requirements: 3 to 5 years of experience in civil litigation Familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures Demonstrated ability to handle a full caseload and meet strict deadlines Ability to collaborate with internal legal teams and corporate clients Strong interest in trial work and litigation development Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school Certifications: Active license to practice law in Missouri (required) Eligibility to become licensed in Illinois, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska (preferred) Skills: Excellent written and oral advocacy skills Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and large caseloads Proficient in drafting legal documents and preparing for trial Team-oriented and committed to high-quality legal performance The position offers a competitive salary based on experience and client engagement, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, HSA, FSA, life and disability insurance, 401(k), paid maternity leave, Employee Assistance Program, PTO, holidays, and wellness programs.
