The Center for Neurosomatic Studies is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and compassionate Financial Aid Director to join the Center for Neurosomatic Studies. The ideal candidate will oversee the full lifecycle of student financial aid services, ensuring regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and student-centered support. This role involves managing institutional, federal, and VA aid processes while collaborating across departments to maintain data integrity, improve systems, and promote student success. Key Responsibilities: Process all financial aid applications and verify student eligibility in accordance with federal and institutional policies. Ensure compliance with Title IV regulations, VA education benefits, and state licensure requirements. Track student attendance and enrollment status to disburse aid at appropriate times and maintain compliance. Maintain digital and physical student financial aid files with accuracy and confidentiality. Serve as the SCO (School Certifying Official) for VA students, using Enrollment Manager to certify and manage benefits. Handle enrollment reporting and status updates using NSLDS, COD, and SEVIS (for international students). Manage student tuition payments, update ledgers with charges, payments, and interest accruals. Ensure incoming students complete all required paperwork Track ongoing student payment activity and follow up as needed to maintain account standing. Collaborate with the President on annual audits, license renewals, and institutional reporting. Submit quarterly IPEDS financial aid reports and assist with additional regulatory documentation. Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to institution-wide planning and student services coordination. Systems & Tools: FAFSA COD (Common Origination and Disbursement) NSLDS (National Student Loan Data System) IPEDS Enrollment Manager (VA) SEVIS (for international students) Proprietary third-party financial aid platforms (training provided) Word Excel Requirements & Skills: Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial aid or higher education administration. Knowledge of federal and VA financial aid policies and compliance standards. Excellent organization and time-management skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage audits and accurate reporting. Clear communication skills and a student-first approach to service.
