A Brief Overview As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will utilize our industry-leading technology to complete vehicle glass repairs. You will champion the Safelite Spirit with your can-do attitude, caring heart, and service mindset, striving to bring unexpected happiness to your customers by completing jobs with only the highest quality standards in mind. What you will do Learn to repair vehicle glass (in the classroom and hands-on) focusing on the Safelite Way of Fitting under the guidance of experienced technicians and leaders. Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass-related issues on customer vehicles. Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Promote and sell Safelite promotional items to customers. Clean customer vehicle during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in the company vehicle and shop. Safely operate company and customer vehicles, tools, and chemicals used throughout the workday. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards. What You’ll Get • Competitive weekly base pay starting at $18/hour Education Qualifications High School Diploma GED/Equivalent Preferred Valid state-issued driver’s license and necessary licenses to operate a company vehicle. Required. On-the-job training and completion of Safelite SafeTech certification. Required. Experience Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. Skills and Abilities Lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assist with windshields weighing 26-50 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, and twist. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Operate a motor vehicle legally, monitored via camera/video surveillance. Maintain professionalism and provide outstanding customer service. Work outside in various weather conditions and temperatures. Work with chemicals as per the “Safelite Way of Fitting”. Flexible schedule with variable start/end times. Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot independently and collaboratively. Read, write, and interpret English and technical directions. Communicate orally and in writing effectively. Maintain a professional appearance, adhering to uniform and PPE policies. Work under pressure maintaining stable performance. This position involves driving duties monitored through cameras, GPS, and tracking technologies for safety and compliance. This job description is not exhaustive; duties may change as needed.
