What You’ll Do In this role as Senior Staff Engineer (Senior Manager), Foundry Technology Enablement, you will spearhead technical engagements with customers and ASIC partners to define critical product and platform technology requirements, identify and quantify technology gaps, and drive solutions to address these gaps. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including IP, Packaging, Customer Engineering, Design Enablement, ASIC design, and account management, you will foster early technical engagement to enable customized silicon solutions across various technology nodes, ensuring successful delivery of customer-focused outcomes. You will also drive benchmarking activities to understand the Competitive landscape, set/refine PPA scaling targets, drive necessary recommendations and influence roadmaps to ensure Samsung Foundry continues to stay in leadership position.

Additionally, you will support Business Development activities for new customers in conjunction with account management teams with the goal of securing new business and also exploring differentiated Technology solutions through strategic collaboration. Location: Daily onsite presence in San Jose HQ location in alignment with our Flexible Work policy with an average of 10% travel per month Reports to: Sr. Director, Technology Enablement, TE/IP Req: 42674 Develop and build deep trust-based relationships with customers’ teams to understand their Si technology needs, application requirements and jointly define the best technology/platform solutions to enable customer’s products Work with customer teams to map their requirements to existing foundry offerings, identify potential gaps, and champion their cause by driving internal development teams to address technology needs and deliver technology solutions Work with the internal Silicon development teams to align on upcoming technology/ scaling trends and set competitive technology targets and differentiated roadmaps Enable platform solutions (Process, IP, advanced packaging, ASIC etc) with Technology, Ecosystem, Enablement, Design Services and Business development teams. This includes any new potential partnerships with both Internal and External teams Attend conferences with the goal of publishing regular analysis and benchmarking reports. Support the Technology engagement and Business growth activities by working with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales and Business Development teams to secure customer engagements. Complete other responsibilities as assigned. What You Bring Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Science with 15+ years of experience or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or related Physical Science with 13+ Years of Industry Experience or PhD in Electrical Engineer or related Physical Science with 10+ years of Industry Experience. Knowledge of CMOS fundamentals, Device Physics, Advanced Process technology, circuit design concepts, device-technology interactions, scaling trends and their forthcoming challenges. Experience in Logic Technology developmentand working with Foundries is a plus. Broad understanding of systems and application requirements (eg product architecture, key IPs, packaging, design services, ASIC, key standards etc) Experience with PPA analysis across libraries, memory compilers, Block-level PPA and competitive benchmarking Experience in Automotive segments requirements including reliability and functional safety. Experience on RF technologies and key figures of merit is a plus. You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.
