Traveling Recertification Specialist

- Compliance and Leasing Division Pratum Compliance and Leasing is a professional, fast-paced, collaborative organization seeking to expand by providing consulting services in the apartment industry. Our goal is on-site quality service, and we are committed to helping our team members achieve this with available tools and resources. IMPORTANT : This is not a work-from-home position. It requires up to 100% travel to work on-site at assigned multi-family apartment communities across the United States. Candidates must be flexible to travel weekly as needed. This position involves providing certification, recertification, and leasing services for residential multifamily communities. It requires nationwide travel within Pratum's portfolio and support for third-party management clients. Regional travel within the Baltimore and Washington DC Metropolitan area is also expected, so reliable transportation is necessary. Overnight and multi-day travel to any state may be required. Candidates should live within 30-45 minutes of a major metropolitan airport, preferably in the mid-Atlantic, northeast, midwest, or southern regions. Position Overview As a Traveling Recertification Specialist, you will perform core responsibilities to meet company objectives, working closely with tenants and applicants. Your duties include completing various projects on-site, effective communication with clients, building relationships, and transmitting information via multiple platforms. We seek innovative, goal-oriented individuals capable of prioritizing responsibilities, working independently or in teams, and meeting strict deadlines under pressure. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leasing and processing applications according to client policies Assisting with move-ins and move-outs Completing annual and interim recertifications, including: Scheduling and conducting resident interviews Coordinating data collection and processing resident information Scheduling recertification interviews Calculating income, assets, rent levels, etc. Coordinating apartment inspections Maintaining resident files per policies Handling rehabilitation, lease-ups, and re-syndication processes Assisting management with state audits Performing additional duties as assigned Requirements : Excellent customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Minimum two years of recertification experience, with certifications such as COS, TCS, or HUD/LIHTC designations (Section 8, Public Housing acceptable) Ability to multi-task within time constraints Attention to detail and ability to work independently Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, property management software, and internet use Understanding of HUD and LIHTC program requirements Prior LIHTC recertification experience Knowledge of HUD 4350, 236 program, and CPO Section 8, Tax Credit, and Public Housing experience required Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred Workplace Requirements Travel up to 100% to worksites nationwide. This is not a remote position. Monday through Friday, with possible evenings/weekends as needed. This role is non-exempt, with an hourly pay range of $22-$26/hour (~$45k-$54k annually), depending on experience and qualifications. It may include performance bonuses.
