The Senior Data Analyst – Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) ensures data integrity and delivers actionable insights that support financial planning and analysis across the organization. This role collects, analyzes, visualizes and automates data to enable accurate reporting and inform strategic business decisions. RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows: Configure, enhance and maintain data and finance-related systems, ensuring ongoing data accuracy, integrity and availability to support critical FP&A functions. Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Accounting and Finance to ensure business needs are met and accurate, timely data is available for decision-making. Initiate and drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize financial reports, dashboards, and underlying data workflows. Consult with IT and Finance stakeholders to clarify business and data requirements, contributing to the design and delivery of scalable technical solutions. Document business needs and data requirements, ensuring high-quality analytics solutions for complex financial and operational questions. Support testing activities, including test case preparation, result documentation and defect tracking, to ensure analytics tools and outputs meet specifications. Communicate project updates and insights clearly to team members, business partners and leadership; facilitate data walkthroughs and maintain documentation. Ensure compliance with internal standards and governance protocols, obtaining necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle. Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and timelines across ongoing projects. Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met. Perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies
Demonstrated success supporting production environments with rapid response expectations and a strong commitment to service reliability. Proven ability to independently define requirements, acceptance criteria and functional specifications for complex financial systems and processes. Proven ability to contribute and collaborate effectively within distributed or virtual teams. Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field preferred. 3-5 years of experience with business and systems analysis. Experience with health care data analytics. Experience with Power BI or Tableau required; experience with AI tools, SQL server, Snowflake, Power Automate or similar tools preferred. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical, data-driven solutions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
