Pico Propane and Fuels in Alvin, TX is seeking a motivated Propane Delivery Driver to join the team! This position is responsible for loading, transporting and delivering propane to our residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck (3,000 - 5,000 gallon capacity). A Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements is required for this role.

This position also requires excellent communication skills, a positive attitude in the face of challenges, and the ability to execute on identified solutions. Above all else, personal safety and the safety of our customers must take on the highest priority. Duties/Responsibilities:

Complies with all city, state, and federal regulations Loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane and fuel to residential/commercial locations Performs pre and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials Maintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulations Maintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety Ensures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor Performs other related duties as assigned The absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

Proven work experience as a Propane Delivery Driver Advanced knowledge of propane (LP) and refined fuel systems Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety (FMCSA) Regulations Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite Willingness to learn, grow, and uphold a customer focused culture that continually strives to exceed expectations Education, Certification, Licenses Required: High school diploma or equivalent required Class A or B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements required Must have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record LP Deliverycertification through the TRRC (preferred, or with the ability to obtain) TWIC card (preferred) Physical, Mental, and Behavioral Requirements:

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to heavy weights of 20 to 100 lbs. for approximately 90% of the work shift Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle, multiple times per work shift Good hand eye coordination, arm hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment is required, including at night Frequent sitting, reaching with hands and arms Must be able to speak and hear Position is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and drug and/or alcohol testing, as well as a physical abilities test performed by a company provider Must pass pre-employment screening and background check Position may require working evening hours and weekends as needed Work is normally performed outside where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes, airborne particles, and gases is common
