Oxford Solutions has a client looking for a Mechanical Drafter.
The Mechanical Drafter will be responsible for the creatons of fabrication drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in CAD design. This role requires an eye for detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create detailed fabrication and erection drawings ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to review drawings Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and bills of materials (BOM). Conduct quality checks on all drawings and designs to ensure they are free from errors Work closely with the fabrication and erection teams to ensure that all drawings are correctly interpreted and implemented during the manufacturing process. Requirements
Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or a related field required. 1-3 years of experience in CAD design, preferably within a steel service center or related industry. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with various stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to identify potential issues in designs and work proactively to resolve them.
