Tech Lead (Devops Engineer)

JOB DESCRIPTION Implement middleware upgrades and patches for various middleware platforms • Implement DB upgrades and patches for various databases • Plan Middleware, MQ, COTS and DB upgrades, create a project plan and execute those flawlessly • Fix security issues by applying appropriate patches, upgrades and other necessary actions • Make sure the security vulnerabilities are within the acceptable level • After regular system upgrades and patches, make sure the applications / systems are functioning properly • Rehydrate AWS and other cloud provides like OCI(Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), Azure and GCP(Google Cloud Platform) instances on regular basis to satisfy security requirements • Provide support to production issues via internal bridges, MIM and take appropriate action to resolve the issues • Proactively identify and resolve service / DB degradation and address the root cause • Tune JVM(Java Virtual Machine), cloud, DB queries and other parameters to optimize the systems • Support Load Test and related preparations for major events • On desk support during business hours and On call support outside business hours • Create Change Requests (AYS) and other process as per the standards to implement any system changes • Join the daily change management calls to explain the changes happening in the system and coordinate with impacted teams • System operations include any changes in productions such as New Installation, Tech Refresh, Cluster Rebuild, Upgrades, Patches, Cleaning old software, decommissioning unused assets, etc., • Implement Load Balancer changes working with various teams • Implement firewall rules working with network teams • Implement certificates / renew certificates across Applications, Load Balancers, DB, MQ, Apigee, atc.
