Job Description
The Unified Communication Architect will support DISA's Global Video Services (GVS) program at Ft. Meade, MD. The core technology platform may transition from Vidyo/Enghouse to Pexip. Currently, the government is evaluating a Pexip plug-in to allow communication between Microsoft TEAMS and GVS. This pilot is expected to conclude in November 2025.
The government staff consists of one Program Manager, three Engineers, one Help Desk lead, and one Software Development lead. The Information Systems Security team (1 engineer and 1 manager) is shared amongst multiple programs. The government staff lacks basic architecture knowledge, IT experience, therefore, they heavily rely on the contractor for designs and trade studies.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Telecommunications Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. 10+ years designing and deploying IP based Unified Capabilities (voice, video, and chat). Expertise with H.323 and SIP protocols. Knowledge and expertise with DISA architecture. Knowledge and expertise with the following applications and platforms:
EngHouse/Vidyo and Pexip. Microsoft TEAMS plug-ins and interface. ICAM requirements. RHEL Cisco VCS
The candidate must be able to collaborate and troubleshoot with the Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 helpdesks. A Secret clearance is required for this position.
