Float Phlebotomist
Job Description
Utilizing advanced phlebotomy techniques, this role involves traveling to long-term care clients and private homes to collect specimens from patients, along with data entry into the computer system.
Responsibilities
Perform phlebotomy services including specimen collection, labeling, venipuncture, capillary draws, heel sticks, glucose tolerance testing, and blood cultures.
Complete lab requisition forms accurately.
Perform urine drug collection and breath alcohol testing.
Travel to patient sites to collect samples.
Will be provided with a company car, but will be required to travel to multiple different facilities and patient homes throughout the day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
Valid driver's license MUST be able to pass an MVR check (clean driving record).
Experience with all types of blood draw techniques
Proficiency in specimen collecting
Geriatric experience is highly preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Work Environment
The position involves various levels of phlebotomy and specimen collection, operating a company vehicle. Multiple shift opportunities available, shifts are first come first serve.
x1 start time 3 a.m. (8 hour shift) Monday - Friday
x1 start time 3:30 a.m. 2:30 p.m. (10 hour shift) Tuesday - Friday
x2 start time 4 a.m. (8 hour shift) Monday - Friday
x1 start time 4:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. (8 hour shift) Monday - Friday
x2 5 a.m. - 1 p.m. (8 hour shift) Monday - Friday
No weekends required!
Hours worked between 11pm and 7am will have add an hourly shift differential of $3.50.
2 professional references from current and/or former manager(s) or supervisor(s) is required to be considered for this opportunity.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38771.20 - $49920.00/yr.
