Job Purpose:
The Lead Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for the overall design and development of a robust, scalable, and
secure cloud architecture. They function as a Subject Matter Expert for designing, implementing, and overseeing
the deployment of the architecture. They work with cross-functional business departments and IT groups to
understand business goals and technology needs to design and implement solutions that meet those needs within company policy, security, and industry best practice constraints. In an engineering environment the position will be responsible for the overall design and development of PV-Connect and future cloud solutions. They will work with cross-functional business departments and IT groups.

• Design and develop a robust, scalable, and secure cloud architecture for PV-Connect.
• Drive the introduction and adoption of standardized cloud architecture and solutions.
• Develop methodologies to automate cloud architecture and solution deployments securely and reliably while maintaining systems' high availability requirements.
• Work with commercial teams to evaluate commercial engagements, develop architecture, and further enhance PV-Connect solutions to meet requirements.
• Design, document, and implement solutions that meet all requirements.
• Provide cost, schedule, and resource requirements for proposed solutions.
• Compare different solutions, their pros and cons, and guide discussions to select the most optimal solution.
• Document and implement appropriate and sufficient testing strategies.
• Provide clear goals and timelines for projects and project tasks.
• Work with project managers to define resource and schedule requirements for architecture-dependent tasks in larger projects.

Qualifications and Experience:
• 5+ years of related work experience spanning at least two disciplines, including technical architecture, application development, or operations.
• Experience designing and implementing cloud (AWS or Azure) architectures for complex systems.
Experience in migration a large on-prem solution to the cloud preferred.
• Experience with a broad range of technology solutions.
• Working knowledge of a broad range of technology concepts (storage, networking, security, virtualization, etc.)
• Experience deploying solutions in AWS or Azure environments
• Experience with a broad range of AWS or Azure services including EC2, OpenSearch, ELB, Lambda, Route53, SES, SNS, SQS, S3, VPC, and others.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science with functional cross-domain skills in working with hardware engineering
• Experience with infrastructure as code and DevOps automation processes and tools.
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions through the entire project lifecycle
• Must be a strong team player with excellent communication skills at the business and technical level.
• Must be able to collaborate as part of a team to deliver exceptional results.
• Must be a self-learner, eager to stay on top of technology and security trends continuously.
Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength – Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Occasional standing and
walking. Occasional light to medium lifting;
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand/eye coordination associated
with office communications. Constant sitting, frequent walking, occasional standing;
• Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing.
• Work Environment – Position is consistent with standard office environment;
