We are seeking Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeons for call-only locum coverage . This is a 24/7 beeper call position where providers will cover ED and clinic call. You will handle ED consults, patient rounds, and admissions during the day, and primarily phone consultations during night clinic call. Providers must remain within 30 minutes of the facility while on call.
- Be available for 24-hour call shifts (7am 7am)
- Consult on orthopedic cases in the ED
- Round on admitted patients as needed
- Respond to phone calls during overnight clinic call
- Manage admissions for orthopedic cases
- Provide fracture care and basic orthopedic procedures
- Call Shifts: 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
- Estimated patient volume: 2 patients per shift
- No outpatient clinic duties required
- General Orthopedic Surgery
- Fracture care
- Shoulder, Knee, and Hand procedures
- Tendon release/repair
- Peripheral nerve surgery
- Spine procedures: cervical, thoracic, lumbar (with and without instrumentation)
- Arthroscopy (preferred)
- Joint revision or repair
- Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery (required)
- Active Oregon Medical License (required)
- Must be able to respond within 30 minutes for call coverage
- Prior experience with trauma care preferred
- Total joint for hip not required but preferred for fracture cases
- Must be able to submit credentialing application within 5 days of receipt
