Opportunity Overview:
Seeking a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM/AOBEM) to provide locum coverage at our Level III Trauma Center . This is an excellent opportunity to work in a busy, well-equipped emergency department with low transfer rates ( and strong APP support.
Key Details:
- Emergency Department Volume: 33,000 annual visits ( 77 patients/day)
- Coverage:
- 1-2 Physicians during the day
- 1 Physician at night
- 1-2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) per shift (Supervision expected)
- Peak Hours: 11 AM 11 PM
- EMR: Cerner PowerChart (transitioning to EPIC in June )
- Teaching Hospital: Teaching opportunities available
- Hospital Size: 250 beds
Requirements:
- Board Certification: ABEM/AOBEM (Required)
- Licensure: Active IA License or IMLC (Required)
- Certifications:
- ACLS & PALS (Waived if ER Boarded)
- ATLS (Required for trauma privileges)
- Availability: Must be available for night shifts
